An exclusive event for RSB members exploring how plant science can be re‑centred in education

Talk outline

Plant science - in the broadest sense of the term - has a fundamental role to play in addressing the environmental and societal challenges of our time. Yet, relevant undergraduate programmes are being discontinued. The perception of plants by students (and society at large) also remains hampered by long-standing biases. Against this backdrop, we must strive to (re)position plants at the forefront of education.

In this talk, Andrea will present a strategy for building a robust pipeline of plant scientists (and allied professionals) that was developed by a community of educators.
