The Annual General Meeting and Charter Lecture of the RSB

Our 2026 Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 13 May in the Geological Society at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BA from 11:00 - 13:00 BST, followed by an hour networking lunch.

Members from all grades can attend the AGM, but only those members at member (MRSB) and Fellow (FRSB) grades are entitled to vote. Eligible members will be able to vote online via myRSB and further details will be sent when voting opens. Votes will close at 23:59 on Sunday 10 May.

Up to two representatives from each Member Organisation of the RSB can attend the AGM. Only Full Member Organisations may vote (normally in person at the AGM), and only one representative is entitled to vote.

Learn more about our previous AGMs on our governance webpage.

Trustee Nominations

This year there is one Council Vacancy, in the RSB College of Organisational Members, and Full Member Organisations are encouraged to participate. The closing date for all nominations is 10:00 GMT on Friday 6 March 2026, and completed forms should be sent via email to the Chief Executive. The appointment will be confirmed at the AGM.

College of Organisational Members
There is one vacancy. Full Member Organisations are able to nominate a candidate by downloading and completing the completing the RSB Trustee Nomination Form. Each nomination must have support from two Full Member Organisations (in addition to the nominating organisation). If an eligible nomination is received from one Member Organisation, this candidate will be elected unopposed - otherwise a formal election process will take place. Please note there is an expectation that successful candidates will be, or will become, an RSB member.
