Bioscience Careers Day 2026
Find out about the variety of careers open to bioscience students at this year's online Royal Society of Biology Bioscience Careers Day (BCD).

Event format

This year the Bioscience Careers Day will take place online over three days from Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 March. Each day will comprise expert panel discussions, Q&As and workshops designed to enhance your knowledge of the variety of careers available to bioscience graduates. 

Find out what skills and experience is necessary to thrive in today's rapidly evolving bioscience landscape, and discover how to apply your expertise to exciting and emerging career opportunities in the field. There will also be opportunities to chat and ask questions to bioscience professionals and other students from across the UK.

Attendees will also receive a certificate of attendance as well as 18 CPD points.

Programme

The event programme will be available soon on the BCD webpage. Each day's programme of talks and discussions will take place from 12:30-14:30.

We've previously had talks on careers in science publishing, animal welfare and wildlife research, plant health, public health and more at past events. Please visit the BCD webpage to download top presentations from past events.

Who can attend? 

BCD is aimed at undergraduate and master's students. Recent bioscience graduates, PhD students, postdocs, careers advisors and school/ college students considering a bioscience degree are also very welcome. Bookings for this event are currently closed and will open in due course.
£5 - RSB member 
£5 - Member of a Careers Committee organisation (see below) 
£10 - Non-member

If you are a member of a Careers Committee organisation, please specify which organisation you are a part of in the 'other requests' box, when booking. If you would like to organise a bulk booking for a group of over 50 students to attend this event, please contact Evie Drennan at events@rsb.org.uk
